A very very Dirty Picture indeed...

Bidar Fort is a huge sprawling complex consisting of Mosques,Mahals,Gardens etc. of great antiquarian beauty.

So some Bollywood hot shot decided to shoot a 'hot and steamy' love song for the movie "Dirty Picture" there.

The song had Vidya balan and a bevy of beauties prancing around various monuments at Bidar while Emraan Hashmi followed them crooning a soulful sufi song.

I could identify Mahmud Gawan Madrasa, Tarkash Mahal and various other spots within the fort complex in the song clip.

What was more entertaining and hilarious were the howlers from the press guys who covered this shoot.

Here are some gems - from an article in the national newspaper Times of India: http://tinyurl.com/toidirty

The entire unit was busy shooting at Bidar Fort in Hyderabad when all of a sudden their work was hugely disrupted due to unmanageable crowd that had gathered outside the fort to see the shooting.

On the outskirts of Hyderabad in North Karnataka where Emraan and Vidya were shooting an extremely romantic and intense song for the film, a sudden mob surrounded the fortwhich hampered the shooting.

"Surrounded the Fort?" - The fort complex is one of the largest in India - area of several square miles.

Bidar fort in Hyderabad
and then
Outskirts of Hyderabad in Karnataka --- LOL

Fact is  Bidar is 130 Kms from Hyderabad and is in northern region of Karnataka state.
Probably a lazy reporter picked up the story and repeated the howlers in another website - and added some more masala to it:

On Friday, the unit had to brave the onslaught of a mob that had gathered on the Bidar Fort premises (on the outskirts of Hyderabad, more North Karnataka) where Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan were shooting an intense romantic track.
So much for the quality of journalism in India...
Finally  here is the song "Ishq Sufiana"  which was shot at Bidar:
