Of Almatti - Rex and other quaint creatures

While riding to Badami from Bagalkot I decided take a diversion to check out the rock garden at Almatti Dam



It is a very popular place for Picnickers and leisure tourists...and it's very very Kitschy and campy..




There are several gardens here on both sides of river Krishna - there is a Mughal Garden, a Krishna Garden - so on and so forth..

 Rock Garden has several sections - Dinosaurs, Birds, Animals etc..
 This one will make a pedophile ecstatic - LOL

 They have replicated an Indian village too..

 This one looks very realistic I must admit..

 and about this one --- well, well..someones' gone over-the-top...

  I liked the Dino section best of all..

 They looked very real and menacing..

 There is also a sun-ray garden with India at the center..

 And all around there are Modern Metal Sculpture/Installations - a free hand has been given to the artists it seems..

 As usual I had a free guide to walk me through the garden...

The general opinion the majority of Hindus have about Muslim rule in India is largely based on prejudice and ill informed impressions.A balanced perception is lacking even among the educated class.
